The complete Vegas library
Find the part of Vegas you need.
Search for something specific, use a popular starting point, or open one category. Every substantial Vegas guide has one home below, and the rest can stay folded until you need it.
Start with the kind of outing and the time you actually have, then choose one district or compact route. If you do not have an anchor yet, use the events calendar, attraction directory, venue guide, family planner, shopping guide, casino guide, or unexpected-Vegas guide to find the right kind of plan before opening a map. The Strip, Downtown, the Arts District, Chinatown, Water Street in Henderson, and Lake Las Vegas solve different jobs; trying to collect all six in one day mostly produces windshield time. Give the plan one fixed anchor, one flexible extra, and a clear route home.

District selector with real anchors
Choose the kind of Vegas day before choosing the venue
These are practical options with official pages, not rankings or claims of a personal visit. Use one anchor plus one nearby flexible stop, then confirm current hours, ticketing, entrance, accessibility, parking, walking exposure, and return.
| District | Useful when you want | Official starting points | Practical plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strip / resort corridor | Resident shows, arena events, resort attractions, dining, and a high-production night | Shows directory; sports guide; selected resort, venue, and restaurant official pages | Choose one fixed-time anchor, map the exact resort entrance and interior route, then keep the second stop nearby |
| Downtown / Fremont area | Vegas history, museums, neon, bars, and a denser urban outing | The Mob Museum; The Neon Museum; city Downtown guide | Choose one timed museum, then one nearby flexible stop; verify the transfer between them |
| 18b Arts District | Galleries, independent businesses, food, drinks, and event-led exploring | City Arts District page; individual business and event pages | Use the current event calendar and business pages; solve parking and the return before bar-hopping |
| Chinatown / Spring Mountain | Food depth, markets, shopping, karaoke, dessert, and hidden-bar formats | Chinatown Plaza; Shanghai Plaza; Center at Spring Mountain | Pick one or two plaza clusters and decide when to walk versus repark |
| Water Street / central Henderson | Civic-scale downtown, restaurants, events, and a Henderson-centered outing | City Downtown redevelopment and Water Street information | Pair the district with a park, trail, or ordinary Henderson route if scouting |
| Lake Las Vegas / east Henderson | A destination-oriented lake, resort, dining, golf, or event outing | Henderson interactive maps; selected venue or resort page; Reflection Bay for golf-specific planning | Choose one exact destination, verify public access and current operating details, and price the full return before adding another district |
| Springs Preserve | Museums, gardens, trails, water and desert history in one managed site | Springs Preserve official visit page | Check current exhibits, tickets, outdoor exposure, accessibility, and duration |
| Red Rock direction | Scenic drive, desert landscape, or trail planning beyond the resort core | BLM Red Rock and current reservation page | Choose an exact stop; check entry, conditions, water, weather, and daylight |

One-good-day builder
Choose a district, anchor, texture, and exit
The enjoyable Vegas day is usually one coherent geography with room for surprise, not six distant attractions connected by heroic confidence.
- 01 · Anchor
Pick the one reservation or must-do stop
Start with its exact entrance, time, age or ticket rules, parking or rideshare point, accessibility, and realistic duration.
- 02 · Texture
Add one nearby flexible experience
Choose food, a market, gallery, museum, park, view, or bar in the same district. Keep a same-area backup that does not require crossing the valley.
- 03 · Exit
Plan the trip home before the night starts
Check the final kitchen, event, transit, parking, and pickup conditions. Choose a sober return and avoid making the least prepared person the transportation plan.
Choose local transportation
Pocket checklist
- Exact anchor entrance
- One nearby flexible stop
- Same-area backup
- Return plan

Pick the outing, then the district
The famous option is not automatically the useful option. Choose the area that fits the outing, then verify the particular stops inside it. These are examples, not claims that every block, business, or event behaves the same way.
| If the main job is… | Start with… | Build around… | Do not forget… |
|---|---|---|---|
| A resort-scale show, game, attraction, or first-time Strip look | The Strip / resort corridor | One fixed-time anchor and stops inside the same resort or practical cluster | The exact entrance, interior walking, parking or pickup, and exit time |
| Older Vegas, museums, bars, or a tighter Fremont-area route | Downtown | One anchor plus nearby flexible stops | The event calendar, the blocks between stops, parking, and the late return |
| Galleries, independent businesses, food, and drinks | The Arts District | A compact route paced around current business hours or an event | Outdoor walking, weather, parking, and which stops require a reservation |
| A food-first outing with markets, dessert, retail, or a bar | Chinatown / Spring Mountain | One or two nearby plaza clusters | The correct driveway and whether walking or reparking really fits the group |
| A Henderson-centered afternoon or evening | Water Street | A current event, meal, or civic-scale outing | The calendar, exact parking, and the route back to the area where you are staying |
| One destination-oriented east-Henderson plan | Lake Las Vegas | The specific venue or activity that justifies the trip | Current hours, event details, and the return before adding another district |

Choose the right index before choosing a pin
Start with the question you need answered. The attractions directory helps choose an activity; the events calendar shows dated plans; and the venue guide explains how different rooms work. The first-visit guide shapes an unfamiliar trip, while the day-and-night planner builds a same-area starting combination. Shopping, casinos, children, and unexpected Vegas each have their own practical checks.
| Your unresolved question | Start with | What it should settle | Then verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| What can we do? | Attractions & museums | Activity type, geography, indoor or outdoor setting, audience, price band, and time commitment | Current hours, ticket, age or height rules, exact entrance |
| What is happening on our date? | Events calendar | Upcoming event listings plus official city, destination, organizer, and venue calendars | Date, authorized ticket, venue, bag rules, parking, cancellation |
| How does this building work? | Venues | Theater, arena, concert-room, cinema, or neighborhood-space format and arrival pattern | Your event's entrance, seating, access, parking, and exit |
| This is our first trip | First-visit guide | Trip shape, hotel geography, transportation, fixed anchors, and breathing room | Every date-specific booking and current operating detail |
| Choose for us | Day & night planner | A same-area starting plan by audience, time, setting, mood, and price tier | Live hours, tickets, meals, transportation, and backup |
| Children are coming | Vegas with kids | Age, height, heat, naps, food, restrooms, sensory load, and graceful exits | Current child policy, ticket, adult supervision, accessibility |
| We have a buying mission | Shopping | Luxury, mall, outlet, independent, vintage, antiques, market, or practical errand | Current tenant, inventory, returns, weather, parking |
| We want the casino experience | Casino guide | Resort spectacle, table games, machines, non-gaming uses, loyalty, or local-versus-Strip geography | Age, rules, limits, smoke context, parking, responsible-play budget |
| Show us a different Vegas | Unexpected Vegas | Mountains, water, wildlife, rail history, unusual museums, and valley-scale surprises | Season, access, weather, reservation, exact endpoint |
Use the clock before the wish list
Available time should determine the number of moving parts. Vegas maps make distant plans look flirtatiously possible; entrances, parking structures, resort interiors, traffic, and heat provide the chaperone.
| Time available | A plan that usually survives contact with reality | Leave out |
|---|---|---|
| Two to three hours | One anchor plus one nearby optional stop | A second district or anything with a fragile fixed time |
| Half-day | One district, one fixed anchor, a meal or flexible stop, and travel buffer | Cross-valley collecting unless the transfer is the point |
| Full day | A daytime district and one planned evening district | Three major geographies joined by optimism |
| Evening only | Dinner, show or event, and an optional after-stop in one practical area | An after-plan that depends on an unverified kitchen, door, or ride |
Four useful outlines to adapt
These are route shapes, not business recommendations. Substitute current venues that fit the job, and verify each one directly.
- First Vegas evening: one Strip anchor, an early meal in the same resort or cluster, then a preselected pickup point.
- Downtown afternoon into night: one museum or event, a meal nearby, one optional bar or performance, then the return.
- Chinatown food crawl without the crawl: one primary plaza cluster, a meal, a market or dessert, and a nearby backup instead of five disconnected pins.
- Henderson scouting break: a Water Street or Lake Las Vegas anchor chosen for that day, a meal nearby, then a return through the housing areas you actually need to understand.
Build a night that can still get home
A good plan includes the last practical transfer. Confirm whether the group will walk, use rideshare, take a taxi, use transit, or designate a sober driver. Resort interiors can add substantial walking after a drop-off, and two venues that look adjacent on a map can be separated by casino floors, bridges, heat, or a driveway with ambitions.
- Save the exact entrance or pickup point, not only the venue name.
- Set the regrouping point before a show, game, or crowded event ends.
- If alcohol is part of the evening, choose the sober return before the first drink.
