Verify the route, service, and backup plan
Start with the need, not the venue brochure
32 official planning paths · no accessibility ratings · no availability promises
Harry Reid Airport service-animal relief planning
Verify through airport assistance team · before arrival
Use the official map path to choose a relief stop before a connection or ground-transport leg instead of assuming the nearest area is on the same side of security.

- Ask before you commit

- Terminal assignments and the practical route to an amenity can change. Confirm the gate, security boundary, and current map shortly before travel.

- Ask before you commit
- Known route or facility barrier for the exact location

- Ask before you commit

Showing 12 of 32 paths
Use these links to reach the responsible operator or public agency, not to infer an accessibility rating, medical recommendation, legal interpretation, or accommodation guarantee. Ask about the exact date, event, device, route, seat, room, communication format, service animal, and companion need before booking or traveling. Keep a backup plan when one feature is essential.
An accessibility symbol cannot describe an entire Las Vegas day. The useful answer is a chain: curb or parking, entrance, queue, seat or room, restroom, service or equipment, companion plan, exit, and return. This directory organizes 32 official operator and public-agency resources for transportation, lodging, venues, attractions, convention campuses, municipal recreation, and public lands. It does not rate accessibility or promise that a feature, room, route, employee, device, or accommodation is available. Filter for the need that could change the visit, contact the responsible organization, and keep a written confirmation plus a workable backup.

Turn ‘Is it accessible?’ into a route of specific questions
Accessibility can involve mobility, distance, grade, seating, captioning, assistive listening, visual information, audio description, sensory conditions, communication support, service animals, companion seating, personal-care attendants, an accessible room, or transportation eligibility. Name the functional need and the part of the visit where it matters. That gives the operator something concrete to answer and gives the traveler something concrete to verify.
Ask for the selected date and product, not the property in the abstract. An arena can change its floor plan by event. A resort can have several towers and room categories. An attraction can have different sensory or boarding conditions by experience. A trail can change with heat, construction, water level, weather, or closure.
| The plan depends on… | Ask the responsible organization… | Keep as evidence |
|---|---|---|
| A step-free route | Which curb, lot, entrance, elevator, security line, and exit form the current route? | Map, contact name, date, entrance, and backup |
| A seat or viewing position | What is the exact position, companion arrangement, transfer setup, sightline, and restroom route for this event? | Seat details and the venue response with the order |
| Communication access | What captioning, interpretation, assistive-listening, visual, or communication support applies to this performance or appointment? | Request method, deadline, confirmation, and pickup point |
| A hotel room | Which reservable room category contains each needed bed, bathroom, door, control, and communication feature? | Exact room-category language and reconfirmation plan |
| A mobility device or service animal | What dimensions, securement, charging, relief, storage, transfer, and route rules apply? | Device details, policy source, and named contact |

Transportation is a chain of different owners
The airline, airport, security process, rental or ground-transport operator, transit agency, hotel, venue, and event organizer may control different steps. A wheelchair request made with an airline does not automatically answer the curb-to-checkpoint route, the pickup zone at arrival, a paratransit eligibility process, the dimensions of a taxi vehicle, or the final path through a resort.
Work from both ends toward the middle. Confirm the departure handoff, arrival handoff, ground-transport product, exact pickup point, loading or securement need, companion or personal-care-attendant rule, and the last path from vehicle to destination. For eligibility-based services, begin before travel rather than at the curb with luggage and optimism.
Book the hotel room by feature, not by a generic label
Reserve the exact accessible room category that lists the needed features, then contact the property directly. Confirm tower, bed type and height if relevant, door and turning space, roll-in shower or tub, transfer arrangement, controls, communication equipment, connecting-room status, equipment delivery, and the route to the trip's important destinations.
A room request and a confirmed room category are not the same thing. Inventory, connecting layouts, lift-equipped rooms, and loaned equipment can be limited. Save the reservation language, record whom you contacted, and reconfirm before arrival. Keep a backup property or room configuration when one feature is non-negotiable.
Venue accessibility can change with the event
The building, promoter, ticket issuer, and event can each own part of the answer. Confirm the event-specific entrance, security route, floor or seating configuration, companion seating, transfer seat, standing-room viewing, captioning or assistive-listening process, interpretation request window, sensory effects, service-animal procedure, accessible restroom, medical or quiet space, and post-event exit.
Preserve the response with the ticket order. If the event changes rooms, production format, or seats, recheck the access plan. The directory links to official venue and institution pages, but a general policy is only the beginning of a date-specific conversation.
Outdoor access requires current conditions and a backup
Official land-manager pages can describe surfaces, grades, overlooks, visitor centers, parking, restrooms, boardwalks, boating features, or developed routes. They cannot make heat, flash flooding, wind, construction, water level, damaged surfaces, or temporary closures disappear. Match the published feature to the exact mobility device, stamina, sensory need, support person, and weather window.
Check alerts and forecast on the day of travel. Confirm shade, water, seating, restroom status, communications, cell coverage, service-animal conditions, emergency plan, and the return distance, not only the appealing endpoint. Keep an indoor or lower-exposure alternative in the same geography.
Use one confirmation sheet for the entire visit
- Write the exact date, time, ticket or room product, and every participant whose access affects the plan.
- List each transition from curb to return and the organization that controls it.
- Describe the functional need in concrete terms; include device dimensions or communication format when relevant.
- Record the official page, contact method, contact name when provided, response date, and promised arrangement.
- Recheck volatile details before departure and after any event, room, route, or weather change.
- Keep a nearby backup that solves the same essential need with fewer things that can go wrong.
Frequently asked questions
Does an accessibility icon mean the whole Las Vegas experience will work for me?
No single icon answers the curb, route, distance, queue, seat or room, restroom, communication, sensory, service-animal, companion, exit, and return questions. Use it as a prompt to ask about the exact date, product, and need.
When should I contact the operator?
Before paying whenever access could determine whether the product works. Eligibility-based transportation, interpretation, captioning, equipment, accessible rooms, companion seating, and event-specific arrangements may require advance action. Reconfirm after any itinerary change and shortly before travel.
Can the hotel guarantee an accessible room?
Only the hotel and booking terms can state what is confirmed for a particular reservation. Reserve the exact accessible category, verify each essential feature directly, keep the written confirmation, and ask how the property handles a mismatch at arrival.
Are there accessible outdoor options near Las Vegas?
Official land managers publish information about selected developed trails, overlooks, visitor facilities, parking, restrooms, and other access features. Conditions and individual fit still vary. Check the exact route, surface, grade, weather, heat, closure, facility status, and support plan directly.
