Sources, corrections, and update policy
How sources are selected, how changing facts are reviewed, how corrections are recorded, and where to report an error.
Primary sources lead. Every important guide shows what was checked and when. Report a possible error through the contact page or listed privacy contact. Reports are triaged by potential harm and volatility; a confirmed material correction changes the visible claim, records what changed and why, and triggers any review the topic requires.
What earns a citation
Rates, rules, schedules, access, closures, rankings, tax methods, claims of scale, and safety context receive a direct source. Common editorial advice is distinguished from a factual operating claim. Links point to the page that supports the claim, not a search result.
- Primary authorities lead: agencies for rules, airports for airport operations, operators for their own schedules, and land managers for access and closures.
- A secondary source is identified as secondary and used for context, methodology, or a claim it actually originated, not as camouflage for a missing official check.
- A source must support the nearby claim at the level of precision used. A home page or broad brochure does not prove a precise rate, deadline, ranking, or accessibility feature.
- When the current answer changes too quickly to reproduce responsibly, the guide explains what to verify and hands the reader to the official live source.
Report, triage, correct, and disclose
A useful report identifies the page, the specific statement or behavior, why it may be wrong or inaccessible, and the source or firsthand evidence behind the concern. Do not send private client, medical, financial, identity, or transaction documents through the first contact.
The issue is then reproduced, classified, and checked against the governing source. Safety, access, legal, financial, fair-housing, and materially misleading errors take priority over style or completeness suggestions. The site does not promise an automatic correction or a fixed response time, because a disputed claim may require records or professional review; it does commit to preserving the report and resolving confirmed material errors before calling the page current.

Correction notes and change history
A correction note should be short enough to help a reader and specific enough to be accountable: the correction date, the material point that changed, and why. It should not expose a reporter's private information or reproduce sensitive correspondence. Significant corrections remain visible on the affected page for as long as the prior statement could reasonably matter.
The dates on a page are not decorative freshness badges. Information current to identifies the date when the cited basis was revisited, while Updated marks substantive editorial change. Neither advances merely to make a page look new.
Material correction log
This public log records confirmed errors whose earlier wording could have materially misled a reader. Ordinary copy edits and routine fact refreshes are not dressed up as corrections.
