Why GreatSchools 1–10 ratings are not shown
GreatSchools requires a commercial data license to display and sort its ratings on this site. Until licensed access is available, this finder uses Nevada's official NSPF ratings and does not copy scores from the GreatSchools consumer website.

Education pathway
Choose the access path before comparing campuses
The same school name can sit behind a very different assignment, application, lottery, service, and transportation process.
01 · Student
Write the actual need
Grade, program, services, schedule, transportation, language access, IEP or 504 continuity, and timing.
02 · Path
Identify the pathway
Zoned CCSD, magnet or CTE, open enrollment, public charter, private school, or college and adult learning.
03 · Access
Verify the current rule
Use the exact-address assignment tool or the current admissions, eligibility, deadline, lottery, and seat process.
04 · Fit
Confirm services and logistics
Ask the school about the exact program, support, calendar, transportation, cost, and records it needs.
05 · Evidence
Keep the answer in writing
Save dated assignment, admission, tuition, service, and transportation confirmations for each finalist.
Use this as a suggested order. These are research steps, not a school ranking or housing recommendation. Assignment, admission, services, seats, and transportation can change.
Start with the student, not a leaderboard. The finder below covers every current K–12-serving CCSD school, SPCSA charter campus, and authorized private-school location listed in Clark County by Nevada’s official directories. Search and sort the complete list, then verify exact-address assignment, admissions, program fit, services, transportation, tuition and fees, and the grade-level result that actually applies. A rating is a dated clue, never an admission promise, forecast for one student, or housing recommendation.

Understand the records before sorting them
The countywide directory is an objective research inventory, not a school or neighborhood ranking. Use the same questions across every option, verify the exact program and admissions path, and let the student and household decide fit. Nevada reports performance separately by school level; proprietary third-party ratings remain unavailable until their commercial use is licensed.
| Pathway | Official starting point | Compare | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zoned CCSD school | Exact-address zoning search + school directory | Grade configuration, programs, services, schedule, transportation, current assignment | A nearby campus, ZIP code, listing, or prior boundary guarantees assignment |
| CCSD magnet / CTE | Program finder + current application information | Theme, eligibility, audition or qualification, lottery, deadline, transportation | A program is open, appropriate, or reachable without checking the current year |
| CCSD open enrollment | Current open-enrollment page | Participating school, capacity, deadline, lottery, transportation | Every school participates or a seat remains |
| Public charter | SPCSA map/profile + NDE directory + school site | Sponsor, grade span, model, services, enrollment window, lottery, transportation | Proximity creates assignment or the charter has open seats |
| Private school | NDE authorized-school directory + school site | Model, grade span, admission, tuition/aid, services, transportation, current status | Accreditation, tuition, admissions, or support is uniform |
| College / adult pathway | NSHE institution directory + program site | Credential, transfer path, schedule, modality, cost, support, commute | The institution name alone answers program fit |
| Field | Useful for | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Official grades served | Narrowing records to a student’s current or future grade | The program, grade configuration, or access rules cannot change |
| Elementary / middle / high NSPF stars | Reviewing Nevada’s dated official result for the applicable reporting level | One level describes another, or an unrated record received zero stars |
| Tuition status | Separating public no-tuition schools from verified private published amounts | Unknown private tuition is free or includes fees, aid, uniforms, transport, or extras |
| GreatSchools 1–10 | Future licensed third-party context for public schools with sufficient data | Private schools receive ratings, or a score may be copied and republished without permission |

Important limitation: Ratings, grade-band results, assignments, programs, seats, deadlines, tuition, transportation, and services can change. Sorting the directory is not an endorsement, guarantee, or housing recommendation; use it to identify questions and verify every finalist with the responsible school or authority.

Use a six-step school search
Citations: 14516The valley offers several public-choice, charter, private, and higher-education paths alongside zoned CCSD schools. Assignment, admissions, services, transportation, and timing work differently in each one. Follow the same six checks so a rating or a nearby campus does not make the decision for you.
| Step | Action | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Write down the student's needs | Grade, learning model, programs, services, schedule, transport, aftercare, budget |
| 2 | Verify the exact-address assignment | Current CCSD zoning result and enrollment requirements |
| 3 | List other options | Magnet, CTE, open-enrollment, charter, and private possibilities |
| 4 | Compare official results | Nevada Report Card and grade-band outcomes with dates and limitations |
| 5 | Check practical details | Application, lottery or audition, calendar, transportation, support, cost |
| 6 | Confirm directly | Current answers from the school or responsible authority before a housing commitment |
Use the school finder as a starting list, not a verdict
The finder combines Nevada’s 2025–26 public-school list, its current private-school list, and the 2024–25 Nevada School Performance Framework results. One physical public campus can appear as separate elementary, middle, or high organizations. Restricted, correctional, alternative, and special-purpose schools remain visible but are clearly labeled instead of being presented as ordinary enrollment choices.
Use the filters to make 500-plus schools manageable, then open the official source. A high score does not establish student fit; no score does not mean a low score; and a nearby school does not establish assignment, eligibility, capacity, transportation, or admission.
Begin with the student's needs
Write down the grade span, learning environment, program interests, language support, IEP or 504 needs, gifted services, counseling, athletics or arts, schedule, transportation, aftercare, admissions timing, and tuition ceiling. Mark each need required, preferred, or optional. That brief creates comparable questions across school types and keeps a real-estate search from making education decisions by proxy.
Zoned CCSD public schools
Use CCSD’s zoning search for the exact address, then open the school directory and current enrollment instructions. Recheck the assignment with CCSD before signing a lease or purchase contract: boundaries, grade configurations, programs, and capacity can change. A nearby campus is not proof of assignment, and a city or ZIP-code label is far too blunt. Citations: 123
Magnet, CTE, and open-enrollment pathways
CCSD’s choice system includes program themes such as career and technical education, STEM, International Baccalaureate, arts, and leadership. Applications can involve qualifications, auditions, lotteries, deadlines, and transportation limits. Use the current program finder and application pages; never inherit last year’s deadline from a search result. Citations: 4
Public charter schools require a separate application path
Public charters can offer distinct models and grade configurations, but they are not automatically assigned by a nearby address. Use the State Public Charter School Authority’s map and profiles for its sponsored schools, then the Nevada Department of Education directory for the wider statewide inventory. When eligible applications exceed seats, a lottery can apply under Nevada law, subject to lawful priorities. Verify the school’s grade span, sponsor, enrollment window, lottery, transportation, services, and campus directly. Citations: 5615
Compare access rules before comparing scores
| Pathway | How access begins | Questions that change the practical fit |
|---|---|---|
| Zoned CCSD | Exact-address assignment and current enrollment process | Boundary, grade configuration, program, services, transportation, capacity |
| Magnet, CTE, or other choice | Current program application | Eligibility, audition or qualification, deadline, transportation, continuation rules |
| Public charter | School-specific application; lottery can apply when eligible demand exceeds seats | Sponsor, grade span, enrollment window, services, transport, sibling or other lawful priorities |
| Private | School-specific admissions | Authorization status, tuition and aid, calendar, model, services, transport |
Use ratings as one layer, not the answer
Nevada’s Report Card is the official multi-measure portal, and the current NSPF file reports 1–5 stars separately for elementary, middle, and high-school levels. A K–8 campus can have different elementary and middle results; this directory preserves both instead of inventing one blended score. Private schools do not receive NSPF ratings.
GreatSchools’ 1–10 ratings are proprietary commercial data and apply only when the provider has enough public-school data; GreatSchools does not rate private schools. This site does not scrape or manually copy those ratings. Until a commercial data license permits display and sorting, check GreatSchools directly and use Nevada’s official NSPF results in this finder.
Private schools and higher education
For private schools, use Nevada’s authorized-school directory and compare model, grade span, admissions, tuition and aid, support services, transportation, calendar, and licensing or exemption status. Nevada’s directory does not publish tuition, so a private amount appears only after it is verified against that school’s current official schedule; ‘not publicly listed’ is unknown, not free. For higher education, the Nevada System of Higher Education directory is the neutral starting point for UNLV, the College of Southern Nevada, Nevada State University, and other public institutions; compare program, credential, format, transfer path, cost, commute, and student support.
Bring the same questions to every school
- What does a normal day and week look like for this grade and program?
- How are language, disability, gifted, counseling, and other required services delivered and staffed?
- What are the current admissions, enrollment, lottery, audition, or wait-list rules and dates?
- What transportation, before-school, aftercare, activity, device, uniform, and fee obligations fall to the household?
- Which official outcomes apply to the relevant grade band, and what important context is not captured by them?
- Who can confirm each answer in writing before a housing decision?
Frequently asked questions
Can a home listing or nearby school name confirm assignment?
No. Use CCSD’s exact-address zoning tool and confirm directly with the district. Proximity, marketing copy, ZIP code, and a prior assignment are not guarantees.
Why not rank neighborhoods by school score?
A single score compresses different grade bands and outcomes, can change, and does not measure individual fit. More importantly, housing guidance should not steer people by school quality or household composition. This guide separates objective education research from housing selection.
